Lament (from Evita, 1997)
At the end of the last song and episode, our heroine was strapped in by uniformed
dancing men to an electric chair. Would she survive? The suspense killed us all. I
hadn't heard this song before, and I lamented not having before. As she sung and
rose into the ceiling, I was slain by the sound of her voice, perfect for the moment.
I, too, felt my laments of loves lost and chances blown. I turned my head to the sky.
No time to lament bad past movie roles - I look forward to more movie music, M.
